Impacts of global warming in Africa and how African states are dealing with it.
Friday 23rd June 2023 By K.Stanley Wanjala Global warming ever since my primary and nursery level in school has been one of the persistent issue across the globe and among the biggest environmental issues affecting Africa. This phenomenon has caused severe changes in weather patterns, including prolonged droughts, erratic rainfall and rising temperatures among many others. These effects have also led to negative impacts on various sectors of the economy including;agriculture, energy,public health and many more. The agricultural sector for instance has been and continues to be one of the hardest hit sectors of the economy in Africa due to global warming. The prolonged droughts and erratic rainfall have led to reduced crop yields,decreased food production and increased prices especially for basic foodstuffs.
